Cat On Barn Window

This is a pastel done on sanded paper. I love working with the color, oils have always been my first love but the more I learn and work with pastels its becoming a tie as to which I enjoy more.
I may do one of my Christmas cards in pastel this year, I have some blue paper and have tried a few ideas out.

This is lovely Holly. I love the posture of the cat. I have seen our cats standing like this many times. Pastel is something I tried once but never got the hang of.

This cat is gorgeuos. Just poised on the window sill ready for action. I love pastels and you handle the medium beautifully.

Hi Holly,
Lovely to hear back from you. Thanks for your comments. I am new to all this blogging but I think I'm hooked. My daughter just said she was proud of me especially as I have managed to do it all with out her help. The problem now is I think I'm hooked. It opens up a whole new world being able to communicate with other artists around the world. Thanks again.
