Life Happens and Painting Update

First, I want to apologize to anyone who posted a comment on the previous post of this painting. Yesterday by accident it was deleted and I found out it cannot be retrieved. I want to thank Elizabeth and Carol for the awards given, they were appreciated.

The past few weeks have been a blur, I was laid off from the small manufacturing company that I worked for. It did not totally suprise me, since Christmas the backlog of orders had been steadily dwindling. I have worked in manufacturing most of my adult life, starting as a Mechanical Draftsperson but I've also done Inspection, Inside Sales and Estimating to name a few. The company I worked for came from our previous employer, when the company was sold and moved out of state three of the guys started their own business. There were eight of us total and it was hard physical work but an interesting experience. But it is time to make some major life changes, I am taking a certification class and than maybe go back to school. Right now I am leaning towards going back to school which is a little daunting at this age. I have been out getting a physical and running around with paperwork, you know how it goes. So life is a little up in the air and after yesterdays accident with the post I think I need to take a step back for a bit. But I am asking you to hang in there with me while I go through this transition period. I love meeting all the new people and seeing the art created. I look forward to everyones new posts and am going to try to hang on to this. Art is my passion and anyone who knows me can tell you I love it!

Hi Holly

Firstly I want to say how sorry I am that you have been having difficult times. You must be feeling very stressed at the moment. I hope the new moves you are making will work out to your best advantage. Sometimes it takes a while for that to become apparent. I know from my own experience that I have to be forced into change because I rarely make a move otherwise. I get too comfortable. Sometimes fate makes that move for us. Don't worry about the blog but let it take a back seat while you get things sorted out. We will still be here.

Sorry too that your post got deleted. Your kittie painting is coming along a treat and the gerbera painting is going to be stunning. I love the red you have used. Sorry about the small novel I have just written...ha ha.

Please hang in with the art, Holly! I am so sorry that things are in such a state of flux in your life. I know something even better is awaiting you in this transition period, but it sure is hard to get through the middle part. Your friends are behind you all the way!

Sorry to hear about your job Holly. Maybe this new path in your life will be an improvement for you. I will keep my fingers crossed that you are able to find the right road for you.

Love your cat picture, you capture the movement so well. A pity that you can't just live off your art.

Hi Cathy - Thanks for the novel. I just needed to say what was going on. Like you said, change does not always come easy, but it can be for the better.

Thanks Elizabeth - I am working hard and don't worry, I love art too much.

Holly I'm so sorry to hear about your job - I hope you continue with your art no matter what. I can tell it is big part of you. I love your painting style - you should try to teach painting. Hang in there and I pray that you'll find where you are supposed to be soon. Take care.
